My Boys

My Boys! Leyton 3 and Nolan 4 months

Where does the time go?!? Nolan turned 4months yesterday and Leyton will be 3 1/2 on the 25th! They are both doing great! Leyton loves his little brother, always wants to give him a big hug and kiss. Things have been pretty busy for the Riviere family. I started back to work on July 13th, Leyton went back to school and Nolan started daycare. Both of the boys do really well with daycare, we are lucky to have two great places that love our boys!

Leyton has been taking swim lessons at his school and playing 3 and 4 year old t-ball for the Round Rock YMCA. Daddy coached his team the Volcano's, I coached a couple of times when Rhett was out of town. T-ball is about the funniest thing, we had to tell them every time the ball was hit not to tackle each other! I will say it isn't an official t-ball game unless everyone on the team has cried! Leyton loves baseball and that is usually how he will introduce himself to anyone that will listen, I am a baseball boy! Our t-ball party is this weekend and we will hand out trophy's, should be fun.

Nolan is doing great and getting bigger everyday. I took him to the doctor last Friday and he weighs 16lbs 3 oz.!! He has started to really laugh, he thinks his daddy and big brother are hilarious! Leyton likes to run around and roll on the floor and Nolan just laughs and laughs! Love it! He likes his tummy time and is doing really well, he can roll from his tummy to his back (since about two weeks) but not quite from his back to his tummy. He is such a happy baby!

Football season is right around the corner, Texas has their first game on September 5th! It has taken me awhile to get excited about football season this year, just because I was so disappointed last year. But it is almost here and hopefully this will be a great year! Go Horns!

Nolan Lee Riviere is here!

Our sweet baby Nolan is here! He was born on April 18, 2009 at 7:32, 8lbs 14oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Another easy labor and delivery, I was very fortunate with both boys to have wonderful pregnancies and easy deliveries! We are home and enjoying getting settled with the new baby. Leyton has been wonderful, telling everyone that he is a big brother! Nolan brought him a few gifts like a World Best Big Brother shirt. He wore it around the hospital and told everyone that he was the world best big brother! So cute! I just wanted to let everyone know that Nolan is here and hopefully I will be able to blog more later.

Leyton's 1st Soccer Game!

Leyton had his first soccer game on Saturday and loved it! It was the cutest/funniest thing ever! He scored the very first goal and then ran back to the middle of the field and waited for everyone like okay lets do it again. I loved it! He asked me all Saturday morning who was coming to watch him, his grandma, his pawpaw, his uncle ryan, I had to tell him no. But Mrs. Danna came to watch him and he was happy about that! Thank you Danna! His daddy had to coach a baseball game in San Antonio and was really upset he had to miss his first game. I taped the game so Rhett could watch it, it is even better to watch it back on the video! :) He scored three goals for team extreme and has been telling me since Saturday that he is a great soccer player. Just love it! I took a couple of pictures from the game. Enjoy!

Worst Blogger Ever!

Okay, I know I am the worst blogger ever! I wish I had more time to upload my pictures and write about what is going on in our lives. Family, Work, and baby number two soon to make his appearance! So I am going to give a run down of the past couple of months. Our sweet Leyton turned 3 on February 25th, wow I can't believe my little baby boy is 3 years old! I am posting some pictures from his birthday dinner with PawPaw Rob, Grandma, and Uncle Ryan at Buca di Beppo. Yummy pizza, they brought out a candle opera and sang happy birthday to him along with some sherbert cones. They ran out of birthday cake. We had a small birthday cake for Leyton at home. PawPaw Rob and Grandma brought him about 30 presents to the restaurant to unwrap, he loved it! His favorite was a pair of baseball pants that had to sit on the table through the entire dinner.

We had Leyton's birthday party on March 14th at Goin Banana's in Austin. It has a ton of bouncy houses, slides and toys. Leyton just wanted to play basketball until we finally were able to get him to go into one of the bouncy houses with his friend Steven. Then there was no stopping him he wanted to try every bouncy and slide they had.

I will be 37 weeks on Friday so baby Nolan will be here before we know it, we can't wait to meet our little bundle of joy! I am posting some pictures from the wonderful shower that Mykla and Tammy gave me in Rockwall! Thank you, it was beautiful. Leyton dressed up as a cowboy since it was a cowboy theme. Cutest cowboy ever! Nolan got lots of great gifts that we definitely be using. Thank you to everyone that made it such a special day!

Leyton had his first soccer practice today and just loved it. He is a sports fanatic and he can finally play something with other kids. Daddy was very excited and got him everything he needed for his big day! Soccer ball, shin guards, and soccer shorts. I have a short video but I am not sure if I will figure out how to post it we will see! :)

Leyton and Daddy have been going to play golf with PawPaw Rob and Grandma on Sundays, I am posting a picture of Leyton in his golf gear.

Anyways, like I said just a little overview of what has been going on in the Riviere family. Hope everyone is doing well! We will let everyone know when Nolan arrives! :)

It's A Boy!

Well it has been a really long time since I have blogged! Holidays, work, etc. Anyways we found out that we are having another wonderful little boy! Nolan Lee Riviere. Leyton is very excited about having a little brother and can't wait for him to make his arrival. We asked him when we found out what he thought his name should be and he said Colt McCoy! He loves Colt and thought this would be the only appropriate name for his little brother. I think the name Nolan is growing on him. :)

Christmas Affair

It officially feels like the holidays! Sabra and I made our annual trip to the Christmas Affair put on by the Junior League of Austin. They do a great job putting on this event that includes a ton of vendors. Every year is a different theme and this year it was Noel de Paris, just beautiful! I told Rhett I thought it would be great to visit Paris during Christmas, he didn't seem to agree. There is always so much to see and buy. I ended up with up a great ornament from Feel Good Frames, personalized with Leyton's name. It will be a great addition to the the tree this year. Sabra did some Christmas shopping and we ended our shopping getting cupcakes from Hey Cupcake! I think it was one of the most popular booths. Hey cupcake is another great place on South Congress in Austin, they sell cupcakes out of a little trailer. I had the red velvet and got Rhett one as well and then Leyton the Standard (vanilla cake with chocolate icing)! We had dinner at John and Sabra's last night, yummy fajitas. Thanks John and Sabra we had a great time!

Busy Weekend!

The Riviere Family had a busy weekend! We went to dinner at South Congress Cafe with Rhett's family on Friday night. Rob, Irene, PawPaw, Eloise, Hamilton (Eloise's Son), Erica and Derek(Hamilton's cousins). The South Congress Cafe was so good! I highly recommend trying the beef milanese! After dinner we took Leyton to a new place in West Campus call The Cookie Lounge, they actually let you pick out the dough and what you would like to put in it. Leyton thought it was great! He had Stacey's Super Sweet Dough and he added chocolate and reeses peanut butter cups. :)

Saturday we headed to the UT game to watch them play Baylor. My friend Amanda came in from Dallas to go to the game, she brought Nathan with her. Amanda and Nathan both went to Texas and had a great time at the game. It was so great to see Amanda, thanks for coming! Leyton always looks forward to the UT games. He has only missed one home game this year. I think his favorite things at the game are when the team comes out onto the field and then the ice cream bar at half time. Daddy and Uncle Kyle tried to keep it in his mouth and off is clothes!

Sunday my college roomate Courtney got married at The Plantation House in Pflugerville, thank you Courtney it is only 5 minutes from our house! Leyton loved getting dressed up in his suit and kept telling Rhett and I that he looked sharp. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by a reception at the Plantation House. She looked so beautiful! Leyton had a blast, Courtney had a quesadilla bar so he had them make a cheese quesadilla just for him! He loved the music and danced like no one was watching. I got a couple of cute pictures of him dancing. Gandma and PawPaw attended the wedding as well, Courtney's mom is one of Irene's best friends. Irene leaned over to Leyton while we were eating and said didn't Miss Courtney look pretty, Leyton put his hand on my lap and replied yes but my mom looks pretty too! So cute, I don't think I will ever forget that moment!

That is the Riviere Family wrap up, I hope that everyone else had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather!
